Trekking Merapi From Selo-Magelang
The Climbing will start at 24.00 in the middle of the night, it will take 5 hours up and 4 hours down. The main intention of climbing is viewing the beautiful sunrise from the top. There are 3 advantage points where we can have a rest, and at the top of Mt Garuda (Eagle), from there we can view mountains such as:Mt Merbabu, Mt Sumbing, Mt Sindoro, Mt Lawu Etc.The temperature is about 10 degrees, jacket, warm clothing, food and drink is suggested.

Merapi From Kaliurang-Yogyakarta
Trekking departs at 4.00 am from Kaliurang Resort, the recreational park of Mt.Merapi. Four hour’s return walk exploring the depths of Kaliurang tropical rain forest through the lava streams, valleys, gorges, and rivers en route to the slopes of Mt.Merapi. On the way you will observe traditional village life, see a variety of tropical plants, fruits, birds, vegetation and the beautiful landscape in the cool mountain air. The trekking ends with traditional light snack and tea provided in a bamboo village hut.
